SSH keys
Register the public key people use to push App code, and review every registered key as an administrator.
People who build Apps push their code over git with an SSH key. They register the public half of that key in Workforce Intelligence, and the deployment then accepts pushes made with it.
Open the SSH keys page#
On Settings, the Personal tab has an SSH Keys card ("Register the public key you push your Apps' code with.") with a Manage button. It opens the SSH Keys page. Every signed-in person can register keys for themselves; no extra ability is needed.
Register a key#
- Under My SSH Keys, select New key.
- Enter a Label, for example "my laptop".
- Paste the public key into Public key. It is a single line, for example
ssh-ed25519 AAAA... you@host. Paste only the public half, never the private key. - Select Register key.
If the text is not a valid single-line OpenSSH public key, the page shows an error such as "Not a valid OpenSSH public key" and nothing is registered.
The list shows each key's Label, Fingerprint (in the SHA256:... form that
ssh-keygen -lf prints), Created date and Status. Registered keys are active
immediately.
Revoke a key#
Select Revoke on the key's row and confirm "Revoke this key?" ("Any deploys pushed with this key will stop working immediately.") with Revoke key. Revoked keys are hidden; select Show revoked (n) to list them.
You can revoke only your own keys on this page.
Company list for administrators#
People with the admin ability also see Company SSH Keys · everyone below their own keys:
"Every SSH key registered company-wide — visible here for auditing; each person manages their
own above." The list shows the same columns (Label, Fingerprint, Created, Status) for every
person's keys, including your own, without naming who registered each one, and has no revoke
action.
