Usage and cost

See what your Coworkers, Knowledge Bases, system jobs and teams have used and what it cost, for a month or a custom period.

For: People with the Admin or People Manager ability · Last updated

The Usage & cost view of Governance shows what your Coworkers, Knowledge Bases and system jobs have used, taken from the record of every call they make. Every figure is a real total for the period you pick.

You need the admin or people_manager ability. Without one, the view shows "Viewing usage requires the admin or people manager role."

Choose a period#

The Period switch has three options:

  • This month covers the whole current calendar month.
  • Last month covers the whole previous calendar month.
  • Custom shows From and To date boxes. Both dates are included, so a period from the 1st to the 7th includes all of the 7th. Until you choose both dates, and the end is on or after the start, the page says "Choose a start and end date (the end on or after the start)."

If the figures cannot be loaded, the page says "Usage couldn't be loaded. Try again in a moment."

Totals#

When the period has any usage, five tiles appear: Total cost (in US dollars), Calls, Input tokens, Output tokens and Errors. When there is none, you see No usage in this period, with a note that calls made by Coworkers and system jobs appear as they happen.

The rollups#

Four tables break the same period down. Each has the columns Calls, Input tokens, Output tokens, Errors and Cost, and lists the highest cost first. A table with no usage says "No usage in this period."

Table One row per Notes
Coworkers Coworker Calls made for that Coworker, such as chat and conversation summaries.
Knowledge Bases Knowledge Base Reading documents into a Knowledge Base and searching it. Search queries that are not tied to one Knowledge Base appear as Search embedding. Work that could not be matched to a Knowledge Base appears as No Knowledge Base recorded.
System jobs Background job, by name Jobs other than the Knowledge Base ones above.
Teams Team Cost counted through the Coworker's or Knowledge Base's team. Usage with no team appears as Unassigned.

A Coworker, Knowledge Base or team that has been deleted appears for the usage it generated, with · removed after its name.
